Breast Cancer Awareness

The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there is a heightened sense of activism in the air. 2020 has been a powerful reminder that we are all in this together, and our choices and actions have the power to protect the most vulnerable among us in a big way. The same holds true when it comes to breast cancer.

I support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life because I want to see an end to all cancers during my lifetime. Relay gives me the unique opportunity to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, to walk for those in the middle of their battle and support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission by fighting back against a disease that has already taken too much.

We all have a cancer story.  My husband successfully battled an advanced case of prostate cancer with surgery and radiation. He is now on hormone therapy to keep his cancer at bay. We are very blessed. I walk/relay to support the efforts of the American Cancer Society in our fight against ALL cancers.

A1 American supports my efforts to fight back against all cancers by making a generous yearly donation to my Relay. Their efforts help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking cancer research, provide up-to-date cancer information, advocate for all people to have access to screening and treatment, and offer free programs and services to improve the quality of life for people facing cancer.  Being a part of Relay, is joining a worldwide movement to help defeat cancer for future generations. We encourage you to reach out to us for more information on how you may join us in this undertaking.
