Where US Travelers Are Headed This November and Why

November is the start of the holiday travel season in the US. And while many are heading to see family for Thanksgiving, there are others who are just taking advantage of the time off from work and school to head to destinations within the country. Here are some of the trendy travel spots in the US for November 2022 and why these are popular.

  • The Green Mountains in Vermont – Searches for vacation rentals in Killington have nearly tripled from last November. Maybe everyone just wants to take a great hike and reconnect with nature this year.
  • North Carolina Beaches – November still finds great weather at NC beaches (assuming you don’t run into a late-season hurricane). But this year, the trend is to head to the far more affordable Carolina Beach rather than OBX. Again, search demand has nearly tripled since last year.
  • Small Town South Carolina – Greenville is a quiet town in SC, but what it’s not short on are art and culture. Offering everything from performing arts to museums, it shouldn’t be a surprise that demand has more than doubled since last year as travelers discover this hidden gem.
  • Texas Beaches – Another popular spot this fall is Corpus Christi, with search demand double what it was last year. Beaches in Texas may not be as popular as ones in Florida, but interest in this part of the Gulf coast is certainly trending.
